With Memories Do Not Open fresh f the IDMA best Album the Year charts, we thought for sure The Chainsmokers would be coming in hot with their pop infused hits. “Paris” and other tracks that have taken over the Top 100 were expected to feature Drew taking over the massive day 2 mainstage crowd with his vocals. As Drew and Alex's set progressed, Chainsmokers fans began to realize that the boys from the Northeast USA had other plans in mind. This one was going out to the Day 1's.

Dropping all their best tracks since the beginning, including Dreaming, Let You Go and Roses the vibe was real and it became apparent that this set was going to be dedicated to Dance Music with minimal vocal domination. The boys went retro 2016 Ultra on us and completely mashed our brains in and out and outside in. I wasn't expecting this and to be honest and I don’t think anyone was and for that reason it was surprise the weekend for me. Common, we all knew it was going to be Swedish House Mafia. I also cant get enough Halsey, so her coming out is +100000 in my book. Rad Drum solo's as well from the mans Matt McGuire

Drew and Alex grew in this game for their insane remix packages and ability to captivate crowds. With modern day Chainsmokers taking more a dance-pop road, which is proving to be a massively successful plan, they went completely throw back on us for Ultra, and my feels are still tingling. When we saw what they did on the Mainstage Ultra 2016 (remember the looped the Chili Peppers with Roses?) we were hoping for something comparable, and we got it.

Have a great friggin' weekend and thank you for doing it for the Day 1's Drew and Alex.
