After recently reavaling the news that will be dropping on June 29 this year, the band's frontman Damon Albarn sat down with Zane Lowe on his Beats 1 World Music radio program to chat about this forthcoming LP and give listeners a first taste the album.

Titled 'Humility', the first track we hear f the album features legendary soul and jazz artist George Benson. As opposed to previous albums - which recruited a multitude celebrated artists from across the music spectrum - Albarn informs Lowe that both Benson and Snoop Dogg are the only two collaborators set to appear on the group's new LP.

During the interview, Albarn describes 'The Now Now' as "a summer record" filled with expressive singing that sets itself in "the world 2-D". In addition to this, Albarn tells Lowe that Gorillaz illustrator Jamie Hewlett's has "really stepped up" on his new approach to the group's design and that he is "back to his best".

Albarn also addresses the rumor which claim he accidentally , saying "No, I didn’t lose it. That’s a load old rubbish. I never even got in the cab with it."

For his next project, the Gorillaz frontman ends the interview by telling Lowe that he plans to go the country Mali after "being inspired by music in that part the world."
