Chaka Khan has released the music video for 'Like Sugar', the first single from her forthcoming album.

‘Like Sugar’ will feature on an album due out later this year from the singer, who hasn’t released an album in 11 years.

According to Khan’s Facebook, the single was produced by Switch, Major Lazer founder and producer for M.I.A, Beyonce and Rihanna. It’s also the first release for Switch’s new label, Diary Records.

The video was directed by Kim Gehrig, creator of previous famous campaigns such as John Lewis Christmas adverts and Sport England’s ‘This Girl Can’.

Chaka Khan's last album was 'Funk This' on Burgundy Records in 2007.
