What can listeners expect from the “Anael” EP regarding musical style and experience?

I’ve been working on this album for almost four years. It’s one of the longest tracks I’ve written in my career. I want my music to inspire others to feel and connect with their feelings.

It bridges the gap between melodic elements, grooves, energy, and atmosphere that was lacking in all my other tracks. Listeners can expect love, spirituality and melody from this album.

How does this EP differ from your previous releases? How has your sound evolved since you started in 2007?

This album is different because I put a lot of love and time into this album, I really put a lot of work into it, and every time I changed some sound in the tracks, I heard them differently every time. It always seemed to me that if something was missing or sounded wrong, I constantly tweaked the sounds to find my favorite synth sound or sound; after the final mastering, I made sure it sounded the way I imagined it, since 2007 a lot has changed in my practice, I started playing more time.

I started taking producing more seriously, and since 2020, I’ve been working daily, learning new skills, and researching a lot of synthesizers and “VST” sounds. Until today, I’m learning, and it makes me happy when I finish my new track and get support from different artists and audiences, remembering some artists were once my favorite to produce.

How do you approach blending traditional Armenian elements with electronic music?

I was born and raised in a traditional Armenian family, I am a patriot, I love my country’s music, traditions, old songs, As you know, Armenians are one of the nations with a very old culture.

Armenian music and culture have an inexplicably big place in my life, and I am really one of those people who promotes Armenian music and loves the culture and music of his country. Through electronic music, I want to show Ashkhah that I really think there are many great old Armenian melodies and songs that should be heard around the world.

What has been the most rewarding aspect of your music career so far?

In the summer of last year I released the track “Yaraman” on the label Sol Selectas, it was liked by many DJ producers, it was played at various festivals and clubs.

Where do you see the future of electronic music heading, and how do you plan to be a part of it?

I will try to improve everyday and work harder, I like it when my music is heard and appreciated, it means everything to me, it makes me very happy, I will see where life takes me in time, but I will always be mentally part of electronic music.

I wish I had the opportunity to do this beloved work before the end of my life. It just makes me happy and gives meaning to life.
I thank my parents and my wife who are always by my side and help me to do my favorite work. I hope that one day all my dreams will come true.

What advice would you give to aspiring DJs and producers?

The important thing is to have a good sound. You need to work every day to improve your skills, learn to do things every day so that you start working quickly, have a sound base, don’t be shy, and ask for advice from more experienced producers. Don’t get discouraged; all the energy you put in will pay off sooner or later if you provide stability and work every day and remember that sooner or later dreams will come true.
