As a followup to their release on Mutants Records, Michael Mustapha and WEES have released their brand new progressive house single “Evidence” on Chroma Records.
WEES, a young producer and DJ was diagnosed with ALS disease in 2014 and forever changed his life. After teaming up with his friend Michael Mustapha, the two have been on a journey unlike any other.
“”Evidence” is a track written about heartbreak and the aftermath of pulling yourself together, picking up the pieces, and carrying on as stronger person. The music itself is weighted with a lot of emotion, and we hope that the listener is able to really connect with the journey and submerge themselves in the melodies. The breakdown to it is meant to be heart-wrenching and characteristic of what it feels like to be betrayed by someone you love. The drop counteracts this melancholy tone with one that is more uplifting to signify what it's like to find ferocity within yourself to move on and leave the past behind.”
