The Chainsmokers latest hit track, “Somebody” has been remixed by some producers you might not know, Sleuth. Ironically, Sleuth might prefer it that way. From what I know, Sleuth is a ‘largely unknown entity who claims to hail from the 1800's’. Whoever or whatever Sleuth is remains a mystery. There are rumors that they are ‘an organization that has carried out nefarious operations on the fringe of society since the 1800s, that it never should have survived the turn of the century.’ Somehow they survived and now have their focus set on ruling the dance world.

Sleuth’s remix adds some Trap elements to the original “Somebody”. The subtle horns in the original build are replaced with harder punching bass lines and a single drug-out horn. Of course, what would be a Trap track without the squeaky bed sample sprinkled in?
The Chainsmokers – “Somebody (Sleuth Remix)” is a track that doesn’t take much away from the original, yet still gives it a completely different vibe. I’m excited to dig deeper into the mystery that is Sleuth in the near future. The track is available now as a free download!
