Ever since Monstercat teamed up with Rocket League for Volume 1 the Rocket League soundtrack, gamers have fully given in to the idea gaming music.

After accumulating millions streams on streaming platforms, gaming and music has shifted the markets for the music industry. To expand on this shift, Monstercat has a signed a multi-EP record deal with the video game developer Psyonix.

This will help Monstercat by letting Rocket League fans identify with the independent label, while Rocket League will gain access to Monstercat's mass following. The tracks will be available on the Rocket League Championship Series as well on all Monstercat channels.

“With Volume 1 being the success that it was, we are more than confident that this method will be adopted by more developers and music labels to come,” said Gavin Johnson, Head Gaming for Monstercat.
