Reebok has unveiled its latest design innovation Zig Kinetica, a trainer designed to propel its wearer into the unexpected, their unique energy return system.

Throughout 2019, Reebok’s new “energy return” prototype sole has popped up on runways from Paris to New York, in shows from the likes of high-end designers like Cottweiler, Angus Chiang and Chromat.

Now Reebok can officially debut the trainer as Zig Kinetica with its first official drop date and commercially available model – Zig Kinetica Concept Type 1 - confirmed for release early next month.

Reebok has always been a brand that likes to push the boundaries in terms of both design and technology, and the Zig Kinetica Concept Type 1 is a prime example of that. Featuring a fashion upper designed by Garbstore’s Ian Paley, this sits atop a bold zig zag sole. Fusing elevated performance with a more fashion-forward aesthetic, ZIG pushes the wearer forward through movement and style.

Coming in a number of different colourways, the Zig Kinetica is light and responsive, which makes for optimum comfort. It also features energy bands that expand and contract like a normal rubber band to provide a spring-like response, helping propel movement, which is pretty cool.

The Zig Kinetica Concept_Type 1 will be available on Reebok.com November 8.
