The first criminal enforcement order made in Greater Manchester due to noise pollution comes from 54-year-old Clyde Taylor as he absolutely refuses to stop looping Underworld's 'Born Slippy' in the early morning hours.

After eight counts of noise breeches, Taylor still refused to keep it down, resulting in his hi-fi equipment, speakers and electric guitar being seized from his home. Councilor David Lancaster simply stated that the whole situation could have been avoided with some "neighbourly consideration".

Although Taylor will not be put behind bars just yet, he has been ordered to pay a £1,500 fine and a £30 victim surcharge after failing to show up to court. He is also now prevented from playing music, especially that which can be heard from outside of his home.
