Japan's boutique techno event, Labyrinth Festival, has decided to keep its line-up a secret this year.
The three day event will take place at Naeba Greenland in Niigata, Japan between September 22 - 24. Celebrating its 10 year anniversary, the festival promises to host a roster of top-notch, cutting-edge artists that will come together to offer a "deep experience" for all those in attendance.
Clarifying as to why they've decided to keep the festival line-up under wraps, the crew behind the festival, Mindgames, states that "it's easy to build up expectations line-up announcements, online recordings and other promotional activities" and they hope the mystery surrounding will allow participants to "experience something rare in today's world."
As curiosity surrounding the festival's programming continues to build, Labyrinth has offered a few hints regarding what attendees can expect when they arrive. Five artists will be appearing at the festival for the first time this year and one set of artists, who performed at their previous location in Kawabayubara, are scheduled to return.
Last year, Labyrinth Festival decided to downsize in order to offer a "more intimate experience" for those in attendance. Labyrinth Festival is a pre-sale ticket event only and no wristbands will be available for purchase on site.
Previous editions have hosted DJ Nobu, Donato Dozzy, Patrick Russell, Tobias, Peter Van Hoesen, Atom™ and more.
