Groove Island is a new immersive dance music experience debuting this September.
On the weekend of September 27 to 30, Groove Island will combine over 40 live bands and DJs, gourmet dining, yoga, wellness workshops and stand-up comedy on Catalina Island, just 22 miles off the coast of Los Angeles. Anyone that's seen the Will Ferrell-starring Step Brothers will know of Catalina Island, thanks to the "the fucking Catalina Wine Mixer."
Having just revealed its line-up, the new island experience has locked in its list of headliners which includes Mark Knight, Sam Feldt, Shiba San, Chus & Ceballos, Mikey Lion and Andrew Rayel who will be joined by a cast of rising techno, house and trance selectors.
Artists will host activities such as a golf and fishing tournament, mountain hiking, zip lining, jet skiing and loads more.
The award-winning Whet Travel, the team behind Groove Cruise, is responsible for Groove Island and has snapped up the majority of hotels, Airbnbs and campground on the island to accommodate guests of the festival. Getting to Catalina from LA is a breeze, with four ferries that run from ports in San Pedro, Long Beach, Newport Beach, or Dana Point and helicopter rides that are available from Long Beach, San Pedro, Burbank Airport and John Wayne Airport that will get you to the island in 15 minutes flat.
