UK drill star Central Cee has announced his highly anticipated debut album, ‘Can’t Rush Greatness’ – find out more below.
The rapper – best known for songs like ‘Sprinter’ with Dave, ‘Doja’, ‘BAND4BAND’ and more – has confirmed the impending release of his long-awaited full-length debut. The record, titled ‘Can’t Rush Greatness’ is due for release on January 24, 2025 via Columbia Records and is now available for pre-order and pre-saving on digital streaming platforms.
So far, two physical versions of ‘Can’t Rush Greatness’ have been announced: CD and cassette. Besides being able to purchase a CD or cassette on its own, fans can also opt for two bundles: the first includes a CD and cassette, while the other offers a t-shirt and a physical copy in a format of the buyer’s choice.
A tracklist for the upcoming album has not been announced.
Per a press release, the upcoming album was recorded in several locations across the last year, and will feature guest producers as well as ‘Sprinter’ collaborator Dave – though it isn’t clear if this suggests ‘Sprinter’ will feature on the album or if the pair have cooked up another track together.
The album announcement comes shortly after Central Cee debuted a new single ‘One By One’ on COLORS two days ago. However, a press release has confirmed that ‘One By One’ will not be part of the rapper’s upcoming debut album. It is worth nothing that ‘One By One’ includes the lyric “You can’t rush greatness, you gotta take your time, maintain it slowly“.
‘Sprinter’ from his collaborative project ‘Split Decision’ with Dave was crowned as the most played song of 2023 on Spotify in the UK. It also landed the 28th spot on NME’s 50 best songs of 2023 list.
