EDM loves Virtual Self… Porter Robinson‘s new material has been making waves and being praised by music producers everywhere. Even Calvin Harris credits the neotrance music with helping him get out of his funk. But apparently 12th Planet just isn’t feeling it.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion — and the bass god thinks Virtual Self’s new track “Key” sounds like something that would play on the seat in front of you before a flight takes off. Apparently that phrase, “if you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all,” doesn’t apply here.

“I love you Porter, this sounds like the commercial that come out before the United flight tho,” 12th joked online.

In all fairness, we do get where he’s is coming from. And considering the friendly emojis and “ILY” attached, he’s probably just messing around with Porter. Everyone should be able to make fun of themselves, so hopefully the mastermind behind Virtual Self will see/hear the humor in all this.

P.S. This isn’t to be mistaken with the time Rihanna called Diplo‘s music “airport reggae.” Yeah, we just thought we’d bring that up again because why not.
