EDC Las Vegas is a time for the electronic music community to come together and celebrate the amazing genre. But something was missing this year, as it will be for every year to come. Avicii passed away a month ago today and for many, it still seems unbelievable. While we have seen many Avicii tributes during smaller club sets and massive festivals like Coachella before, Tiesto took near 15 minutes during his EDC Las Vegas set last night to celebrate the life of the legend.
Tiesto Honors Avicii At EDC Las Vegas
Tiesto took almost 15 minutes from his set to honor Avicii. It was an incredible tribute that featured all Avicii's biggest hits. One of the most touching moments was when Aloe Blacc came out to give a live performance of Avicii's hit, ‘Wake Me Up'. It was definitely an emotional moment for the crowd and Tijs alike. Tiesto helped champion Avicii's music very early on in his career and watched him evolve as an artist.
