A new app designed by Patrick Weaver can recognize album cover art.
Reminiscent of Shazam
in its function, Glitch’s Record Player app reads album artwork, and then matches the image to the corresponding album on the streaming service, making for quick identification in busy record stores. Weaver recently demonstrated how the app works in a video that appeared on his Twitter account.
