Melbourne clubbing institution Revolver has named its iconic staircase after wheelchair tennis star and radio presenter Dylan Alcott.

How does that come about? The Triple J host, Australian Open champion, festival regular and general good dude asked fellow presenter Brooke Boney on air what the most ridiculous thing to get named after him would be. Her reply: a staircase.

"And now we have THE DYLAN ALCOTT MEMORIAL STAIRCASE IN EVERY SINGLE STATE IN AUS!!! ... NOW WHO WANTS TO GO TO REVS??," he posted on Instagram.

Video shows Thick as Thieves boss Mike Toner sticking a plaque with the quote "Can you help us up?" in place before Dylan's carried up 'the stairway to heaven.'

Alcott has won the Australian Open several times, rapped with Wu-Tang on stage at Meredith Music Festival and launched Ability Fest with Untitled Group earlier this year, with all proceeds going towards helping young Australians with disabilities.
