BBC Radio 1 has introduced the line-up for its new 2019 residencies with a group of worthy tastemakers set to showcase the most effective dance music has to supply. The eight artists will stay on rotation from March till August of this 12 months.
The six new acts who will make up BBC Radio 1's Residency crew embody the techno-gurus Marcel Dettmann and Charlotte de Witte, Honey Dijon, Jayda G, Paul Woolford (aka Special Request) and the unstoppable Australian star HAAi whose BBC Radio 1 debut in 2018 was named Essential Mix of the Year. This outstanding crew of expertise will be part of longtime residents Monki and Danny Byrd who play the fourth Monday of the month.
Radio 1’s Residency incorporates two reveals on a Sunday evening into Monday morning between 1-2 am and 2-Three am.
