The Montreux Jazz Festival Miami is set to make a grand return for its second annual edition from February 28 to March 2, 2025. This highly anticipated event will take place at The Hangar at Regatta Cove in Coconut Grove, a 1,500-capacity venue that promises an intimate atmosphere for unforgettable performances. Headlining this year’s festival are GRAMMY and Academy Award-winning artist Jon Batiste & Friends, multi-talented performer Janelle Monáe, and the Afro-Cuban jam session “La Descarga,” hosted by Batiste and Cimafunk.

The festival’s lineup reflects its commitment to musical diversity and cultural celebration. In addition to the headliners, Afro-Cuban stars Alfredo Rodriguez, Pedrito Martinez, and Yissy Garcia will join Cimafunk & La Tribu for the improvised jam session, alongside Monsieur Periné, nominees for the 2024 Latin Grammy Record of the Year. With a lineup that spans jazz, funk, Afro-Cuban rhythms, and more, the festival promises a dynamic showcase of talent.

Jon Batiste, a key figure in curating the event, played a pivotal role in bringing the Montreux Jazz Festival to Miami. Reflecting on the festival’s ethos, he stated, “Bringing the soul of Montreux to the heart of Miami is an honor. It’s a rare festival where the room is intimate and musical collaboration and improvisation are central to the experience. We had an unforgettable experience last year and can’t wait to be back.”

Beyond the performances, the festival offers a range of unique experiences. Each night will feature the Legendary Montreux Jam Session, curated by Batiste and his band Stay Human. VIP ticket holders can also enjoy masterclasses and a pop-up vinyl installation by Dante’s HiFi. Culinary offerings include dishes from Miami’s top restaurants, such as Sereia and Celia’s.

The Montreux Jazz Festival Miami builds on the legacy of its Swiss counterpart, which has hosted legends like Nina Simone, Miles Davis, and Aretha Franklin. CEO Mathieu Jaton shared his excitement for the festival’s return, emphasizing its unique spirit: “The first edition of the Montreux Jazz Festival in Miami was an incredible success, with the city embracing our music, spirit, and legacy with open arms. We look forward to deepening our connection with this beautiful city and celebrating the rich, diverse sounds that make the Montreux Jazz Festival so unique.”

Single-day tickets start at $169, with VIP and Legend packages available for those seeking enhanced experiences. For tickets and additional information, visit mjfmiami.com.
