After a fan on X/Twitter asked if Ashcroft would be supporting Oasis at their 2025 live shows, Gallagher replied in very typically Liam Gallagher fashion: “That would be BIBLICAL”.
Ashcroft has a long history with Oasis, serving as the inspiration behind their 1995 hit ‘Cast No Shadow’. During a Select interview that year, Noel Gallagher said: “I always felt he was born at the wrong time and in the wrong place, and he was always trying to say the right things, but they came out wrong.”
Gallagher enlisted him for a collaboration on his 2022 hit ‘C’mon People (We’re Making It Now)’. Ashcroft also appeared as a special guest when he headlined Finsbury Park in 2018.

The Verve also played with Oasis numerous times, including as early as 1993 when both bands were relatively unknown. In 1997, they opened for Oasis for two shows at London’s Earl’s Court.
Gallagher reportedly said that he is looking for some “established acts” to support Oasis on their upcoming reunion tour.
According to a source speaking with The Independent, the brothers have yet to sit down and discuss who they’d like to support them at the gigs. That being said, Liam is reportedly eager for a few big names to join.
“Liam is keen for established acts so it will probably take a bit of back and forth before anything’s confirmed,” a source close to the band told the outlet.
Already, the ‘Oasis Live 25’ world tour has sold out all of its initially shared 14 stadium dates – set to take place between Cardiff, Manchester, London, Edinburgh and Dublin next summer. Two extra shows in London have since been announced for September 2025, and tickets will be available to fans who were unsuccessful the first time around.

Around the time that Oasis were teasing the reunion, Blossoms got fans talking when they shared the same teaser on their big concert screens as Liam and Noel. Appearing during their headline slot at Wythenshawe Park, the inclusion of the teaser led many to suspect that the Stockport band will be one of the support acts on tour with the band next summer. The band have also supported Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds previously.
Manic Street Preachers – who supported Oasis during their iconic Knebworth 1995 shows – also teased new material last month (August 26), sharing a clip of new music on their social media and leading fans to think they could be enlisted again for the upcoming shows. One act who might have been ruled out, however, is Fontaines D.C. who said they “couldn’t really give a shit” about the reunion.
Taking to X/Twitter to respond to a fan who asked if the band would be considered as an opening act for the Oasis tour, he said: “Fuck them little spunkbubbles I’ve seen better dressed ROADIES.”
In other news, Gallagher also addressed rumours that Oasis could be joining Kendrick Lamar at the Super Bowl after a leaked image of an alleged setlist for the event began circling around social media.
One fan took to X/Twitter to ask Liam himself if it was true that they would be joining the ‘Money Trees’ rapper on stage in New Orleans.
“Rasta, are you going to sing at the super bowl?,” read the tweet sent by a fan along with the photo of the alleged setlist to which Liam replied: “How’s that leaked ffs.”
