Lambrini Girls’ Phoebe Lunny Details Harassment Case After Calling Out Musician

Lambrini Girls’ Phoebe Lunny has shared a personal and alarming account of a harassment case brought against her after she attempted to hold a “dodgy” male musician accountable for his actions. The singer detailed the experience during an appearance on the online show A View From A Bridge, where she explained how her efforts to promote safety in the music industry resulted in her own arrest.

Lunny recounted receiving a call from the police, which led to her being interviewed and subsequently arrested at a police station. The situation stemmed from her decision to email promoters regarding a musician she believed to be dangerous. “I took the liberty of emailing a handful of promoters, saying, ‘hey, I’ve just seen you’ve got this band on your bill, there’s a guy in it, he’s known to be really dodgy, if you want your gig to be a safe space for women, take him off the bill’,” she explained.

Following the report filed by the musician in question, Lunny was detained in a cell. While the case was eventually dropped, she was subjected to a “community resolution” process that required her to write a letter of apology to the man, admitting she was “wrong” and had acted selfishly. Lunny highlighted this as a stark example of how legal systems can be exploited to protect dangerous men rather than the women they target.

“The system is there to aid and to protect dangerous men,” Lunny stated. She criticized the “misogynistic rhetoric” often found in the manosphere, where perpetrators frequently frame themselves as victims. She also called on male allies to take more proactive steps, such as challenging misogynistic behavior among their peers rather than simply distancing themselves from it.

“It’s 2026 and women are still having to scream at the top of their lungs,” she concluded. Following the broadcast, Lunny clarified on social media that she did not intend to identify specific individuals, emphasizing that her story serves as a reflection of the systemic issues women face daily. She expressed gratitude for the support she has received from fans and peers alike.

This incident follows a difficult period for the band, who were recently forced to reschedule their North American tour after Lunny sustained a neck fracture and an acute brain injury. Despite these setbacks, the band continues to use their platform to address corruption and societal inequality, as seen in their recent single ‘Cult Of Celebrity’.
