Jorn van Deynhoven recently took to social media to announce terrible news. On July 17th the Dutch trance superstar underwent emergency surgery as a result of a ruptured aorta. Thankfully, the surgery was a success but such a drastic injury means all upcoming gigs, meetings and appointments will be canceled.

Jorn kept uncharacteristic radio silence in the last few weeks and canceled a recent gig, an appearance at Electric Family, causing a few questions to be raised. However, his transparency with fans and business partners is truly evident in his recent message.

The surgery performed a few weeks ago lasted for 12 hours, a sign of how serious this was. In fact, an aortic rupture can very likely result in death, depending on the type of rupture and the medical care available.

For the time being its important that we fans give Jorn van Deynhoven the time and space he needs to make a full recovery. Of course, messages of support will be appreciated, but the road to recovery after such a traumatic experience is long and thus must be respected. We wish him and his family all the best and look forward to hearing good news regarding his well-being!
