Hades 2 is one of the most anticipated games currently in early access. The reviews and impressions of the early access version have been incredibly strong and console players are keen to know when they will be able to get their hands on the action game.

However, Supergiant Games has been pretty silent on social media and in discussions about a console release. However, they have given a brief statement on when you can expect a console release for the sequel of the GOTY winner.

Is ‘Hades 2’ coming to PS5, PS4, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S?

Hades 2 will come to console platforms (likely PS5 and Xbox Series X|S at least). Supergiant Games confirmed this in their Discord server saying that “we expect for Hades II to eventually be available for PC, Mac, and console platforms (though cannot confirm which platforms yet).”

By the time the game leaves early access in 2025, the game might not end up on PS4 or Xbox One, given that we will be more than four years into the console cycle by then. The game will probably end up on the Switch 2 or Nintendo Switch successor as well, especially as Hades originally launched on Switch alongside PC.

Early Access will be used as a testing period to hone the gameplay, improve bugs, and see how players feel about new features and mechanics. Initially, there won’t be much new content added in the months after launch, to focus on the overall stability of the game.

However, after a few months, large batches of new content will be released in updates, alongside frequent bug fixes and Supergiant improves the game before the 1.0 launch. If you do want to check out Hades 2 before the console launch, you can grab it on Steam or the Epic Games Store.

Thankfully, the launch of the game on PC in early access has been a huge success, surpassing the player count of the original significantly. So, a console release seems inevitable when the game releases into 1.0 or shortly after.
