French producer Tchami returns this week with a new remix of Whethan‘s “Freefall” featuring Oliver tree. The original mix dropped in September of last year and has found massive success. Oliver tree is undoubtedly one of the most interesting characters in music, and you can guarantee anything he is featured on will garner loads of attention. This is Tchami’s first release of the new year, and he could not have picked a better track to get the ball rolling!

Tchami’s version of “Freefall” is vastly different from that of Whethan’s. The biggest being that Tcahmi turned the song into a tech house masterpiece. The original mix leans toward the genre of pop-house and moves at a faster pace with loud baselines. Tchami slowed the song down, and the switch up at 1:04 is what makes this remix so special.

Oliver’s strong vocals give the song a beautiful intensity that makes you feel alive when you listen. Compare Whethan‘s original version for perspective as well as his recently premiered Coachella 2018 set.

In October of last year, Tchami released his first studio album, Year Zero. He has been putting out memorable songs since breaking out in 2013, so it’s great to see him finally put out a large project. In addition to his music, he produces for some of the most prominent artists in the world. He is most known for his work with Lady Gaga on her 2013 album Artpop and her 2020 album Chromatica. She is arguably the biggest pop star in the world, and having that on your resume is enough to consider you a great. We are all excited to see what he has in store for the future and hope that 2021 brings him tons of success.
