Kanye West made a surprise appearance at New York's Fast Company Innovation Festival this week to talk about his new Yeezy shoe with his footwear designer, Steven Smith. Throughout the panel discussion, West, as per usual, made some hefty claims such as changing his name to "Christian Genius Billionaire Kanye West" for a year.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, amidst audience laughter, West stated, "When I run for President in 2024... I'm not going to run, I'm going to walk. When you see headlines saying Kanye's crazy — one in three African Americans are in jail and all the celebrities are in jail also because they can't say nothing, they got no opinion, they're so scared!"

West will also stick to his Christian ideals in his potential presidency. He explained, "We need to be close to each other, but industry has designed cities where the house has to be a certain amount of distance from the school or your job... The world is set up to make us think that we need to have less children when children is the greatest thing and the closest thing to God that we have. So we have to reengineer the cities!"

West is obviously anew with ideas on how to better run the US, but we'll check back in 2024 to see if he follows through on his promise.
