With his new pursuit towards gospel music, Kanye West has managed to take over Billboard's religious charts this week, coming in at number one on both the Christian and Gospel charts with his new album, 'Jesus is King.'
Alongside this distinctive accomplishment, this is West's ninth consecutive album to debut at Billboard's number one spot.

This isn't the first time West has included gospel influences in his work. 'The Life of Pablo' had us praising the lord with songs such as 'Ultralight Beam' and 'Father Stretch My Hands Pt.1.' However, there have been controversial verdicts on whether the album is actually good or not, with notes about a lack of complexity and attention to detail.
It's likely that part of the reason people are tuning into this release is because of Kanye's recent outrageous political statements and erratic behavior in the public eye. Either way, Kanye has once again managed to captivate his audience.
