1. This will be your 3rd year at ADE hosting the massive b2b party, “The Cuckoo's Nest ADE”, what made you decide initially do the b2b concept?

Mr.Belt & Wezol – Back when we initiated our first ADE event two years ago it wasn't really common to do back 2 back sessions between DJs in our genre. You see it in other genres all the time, so why not in our genre? For the audience the unique aspect of it is that you get to see a whole other side of the DJs. Last year for example: we played a back 2 back set with Sam Feldt. Normally that wouldn't really be a great match, since he plays a whole different set than ours. But when doing a back 2 back you try to find a middle ground between you and your b2b partner; which resulted in something the audience had never heard before from either us or Sam Feldt.

2. This years lineup is absolutely MASSIVE, with over 20 different house DJ's playing their own unique house sound. What went in to curating this years lineup?

Mr.Belt & Wezol – The greatest thing about doing a back 2 back concept is that we can look into booking artists that we normally wouldn't book. If we think a certain DJ isn't quite the right musical fit for our concept, we try and arrange a back2back with another DJ that will (hopefully) result in a combined musical line that DOES fit our concept. We always try to keep our concept house music oriented, and I think we succeeded this year.

3. This is your 2nd year at ‘Het Sieraad' , which is an old school converted to a venue. What made you want to come back to this venue?

Mr.Belt & Wezol – ‘Het Sieraad' is a unique venue because it's not a standard club setting. The main area is located in the school's auditorium, which is a huge space with a glass roof. The venue also still has its oldschool looks, and the DJs are facing towards the venues width instead of its length. If you sum it all up, it definitely makes up for one of the weirder venues in Amsterdam; which is a perfect fit with The Cuckoo's Nest.

4. What kind of hijinks do we have in store for the event, anything crazy?

Mr.Belt & Wezol – We have a couple of things in mind, but let's keep that a surprise!

5. What can we expect from Mr. Belt & Wezol the rest of 2019?

Mr.Belt & Wezol – Our new single is coming out pretty soon! But let's try and survive Amsterdam Dance Event first; one thing at a time!
