The musically gifted family duo Disclosure have remained silent for a long-time as hoards of fans continue to wait on pins and needles for their third album which that they first verified back in January of 2018.
With a year-long hiatus that followed last year's standalone singles 'Moonlight', 'Where Angels Fear To Tread' and 'Ultimatum', the family pair have finally come out of the woodwork to announce that they are hoping to release new music by the end of this year or in early 2020.
The announcement came during an interview with one half of the brotherly duo, Howard Lawrence, on the Veronica and Lewis' triple j radio show, Drive.
"We've been working on this music for like two years now and we're getting to a point where we are almost happy... We've been at that 'almost' stage for a while now," Howard tells Veronica and Lewis. "We're just going to keep cracking on and hopefully we'll have some music out next year."
He goes on to tell the radio hosts that they haven't "confirmed" what is going to be put on the third album since they've written more than "100 songs over the past couple of years" and have yet to decide which ones they are going to release.
In early 2017, the brothers announced their decision to take a hiatus from making music, citing a desire for some "much needed rest". The last full-length studio album from Disclosure was their 2015 LP 'Caracal'. What can we expect from the new Disclosure album? Only time will tell, and it appears that the long wait is finally drawing to a close.
