Former Mixmag cowl star J Hus has been sentenced to eight months in jail after admitting to carrying a knife in a public place.

The 'Common Sense' rapper was stopped by east London police again in June of this yr and arrested for the suspected possession of a knife or bladed article. He appeared in Snaresbrook crown court docket and denied the cost of "having a lock knife, with out good purpose or lawful authority" on June 21 in Stratford, east London.

The grime rapper modified his plea in October, saying he "totally accepted his actions had been careless." J Hus' lawyer claimed the defendant was affected by "gentle PTSD" after being stabbed himself and stated he was presently seeing a therapist.

Believing that she could be failing in her obligation if she didn't jail him, Judge Sandy Canavan handed down a sentence of eight months. The Judge added that this was the fourth time the rapper had been discovered carrying a knife in public and though he was a "function mannequin to many", he has "failed" to go away his previous behind him.

Between 2011 and 2016, the court docket has heard six earlier convictions for 10 offenses from J Hus - together with possession of a knife.
