Trainspotting's writer and director are officially taking on next James Bond film

Nowfollowingtherumorsandspeculation,EONProductionsandMetroGoldwynMayerStudioshaveficiallyannouncedDannyBoyleisonboardtodirectJamesBond25andhe'sbringingonJohnHodge,whoalsowrotethescreenplayforTrainspottingandthe2017sequelT2Trainspotting.

Speakingwith,Boylesharedthattheprojectisstillinthebeginningstages:“We’vegotanidea,JohnHodge,thescreenwriter,andIhavegotthisidea,andJohniswritingitatthemoment.Anditalldependsonhowitturnsout.Itwouldbefoolishmetogiveanyitaway.”

DanielCraigisalsosettoreprisehisroleforJamesBond25andproductionissettobeginonDecember3,2018,withareleasedateintheUKsetforOctober25,2019.AworldwidereleasewillfollowonNovember8UniversalPictures.
