Coachella just wrapped up their first weekend last night and this year like the years before there were many things that left their fans talking. From the Destiny’s Child reunion
to the special guests brought out during sets to even the yodeling boy, surprises were seen all over. This year, one sight to behold were in the form of drone formations. Intel and HP had teamed up to bring the drones to Coachella this year to put on a few shows including one during a familiar duo’s set, ODESZA. This isn’t their first rodeo either, the team has been responsible for drones used during the Bellagio‘s water show, the Superbowl and even the Winter Olympics.
The first show happened to take place just before The Weeknd took the stage on friday evening and the second show occured during ODESZA‘s live set on sunday, marking it the first time the drones were used during a live concert.
Anil Nanduri, vice president and general manager of Intel’s drone team had this to say on using the drone’s during ODESZA‘s set.
“Bringing this together for an artist experience has its own charm.“
We were able to find some footage of the drone show taking place during Coachella, feel free to give it a watch below!
