Joji Chissu – Fatal Passion (Vibey Mix)
Whether you know Joji Chissu by his real name or as Ezirk, you will be guaranteed a funky track, and his discography proves it! “Fatal Passion” is this artist’s latest track, and it is a blend of disco strings and 80s boogie synths layered over slick basslines and textured vocals. The track utilizes a perfect blend of styles and influences that sound modern and yet timeless.
Tuxedo – Cake [Funk On Sight]
Tuxedo is back and getting ready to release Tuxedo IV on November 1st on Funk On Sight. “Cake” showcases plenty of funky bass mixed with Mayer Hawthorne‘s silky vocals and cheeky lyrics, plus our girl Gavin Turek handles the backing vocals. Jake One‘s production skills are fully on point on this track and the song is a great teaser of what to expect on the album. We as listeners are having our cake and eating it too!
808 Beach x Amy Douglas – Whatever Daddy Says (John “J-C” Carr Glitter Mix) [toucan sound & Peace Bisquit]
Singer/songwriter Amy Douglas has reached a new height of female empowerment on “Whatever Daddy Says”. The song title sounds like Daddy is in charge, but make no mistake, Douglas is always in charge of her narrative! 808 Beach‘s John “J-C” Carr takes the original mix and adds a little disco flair for good measure, then strips away the music to focus on every delicious growl that Douglas makes. The whole remix package is worth the purchase!
David Morales & Romina Johnson – Be Somebody (Kenny Carpenter Extended Vocal Mix) [DIRIDIM]
There is very little that legendary DJ/producer David Morales hasn’t done. He’s produced an remixed some of the biggest names in the business, so rather than resting on his laurels, he has paired up with powerhouse vocalist Romina Johnson on “Be Somebody”. Kenny Carpenter’s remix adds some disco gospel flair and lets Johnson’s vocals shine bright!
Random Soul – Thinking About You (Dr Packer Boogie Funk Extended) [Random Soul Recordings]
Australia’s Random Soul (Yogi and Husky) decided to keep the debut track from their upcoming 2025 album Stronger an all Aussie affair with Dr Packer at the helm of the “Thinking About You” Boogie Funk remix. This nu-disco track gets punched up a notch with Dr Packer’s 80s boogie touch and is going to light up your next dancefloor experience!
Tommy Glasses – Time (Extended Mix) [Fools Paradise]
France’s Tommy Glasses came out of the womb ready to make great disco music, and this young producer is making that point on “Time”, a slice of nu-disco brilliance! The vocals and music production take me back to the days of Sister Sledge and Chic, easy and classic disco sounds with a modern twist!
Can 7 & Cream City – The Condor [Tropical Disco]
“The Condor” is as classic a disco track as I’ve heard in quite awhile. Veteran producer Can 7 (Levent Canseven) and Cream City (Oliver Rockstedt & John Hunter) are using all of the sounds that make disco sound warm and familiar with hand claps, bumpin’ bass, and strings in all of the right places. The chord changes and guitars have a 70s fusion jazz feel and keep the listener engaged. Dance on my brothers!
AC Soul Symphony – Soul Underground [Z Records]
Dave Lee‘s AC Soul Symphony is back to celebrate famous dance locals with “Soul Underground”. This track will take you all the way back to the OG era of disco, when freedom ruled the dancefloor. The conductor calling out the stops is a fun way to guide you through the song. This is the kind of soul train that I want to be on!
Mystic Freaks – Departure [Frappe]
French boogie just comes naturally to Young Pulse, Jamie 3:26 and Danou P! All three artists have a deep pedigree in music production, so it should come as no surprise that when the three came together to form Mystic Freaks, magic in the music was going to happen! “Departure” is a lovely introduction tho their three song EP. Every song is a must listen! Check it out here.
Satin Jackets & David Bay – Say Hi From Me [Nervous Records]
I always expect nu-disco gold when I see a new Satin Jackets release, and I was not disappointed when I heard the first notes of his collaboration with David Bay, “Say Hi From Me”. The vibe is fresh and light and a perfect addition to your party playlist! If you happened to catch Purple Disco Machine’s Paradise tour, you were lucky enough to see David Bay too! Grab this tune on Nervous Records.
YOYOKA – Time Travel feat. Derrick McKenzie & Josephine Peppink [Balan Studio]
I wasn’t familiar with 15-year old drummer YOYOKA, but after hearing “Time Travel”, her collaboration with Jamiroquai’s Derrick McKenzie and vocalist Josephine Peppink, I am hooked! This track is beautifully positive and packs a huge funk punch! The drums are incredibly jazzy and play perfectly with the strings and keys. Check out her album For Teen now!
Winkar & Save The Robots – Do Your Thing [Disco Freak Records]
Winkar is an artist who is really hustling right now! Between DJ-ing, music production, label head and writing his chart for Traxsource, he put together a great disco collaboration with Save The Robots on “Do Your Thing”. This track has a modern sensibility while honoring classic disco. Now, go do your thing and dance!
Parcels – Leaveyourlove [Parcels Music GRB]
Everyone’s favorite disco jam band Parcels are back with a sweet love song called “Leaveyourlove”. The song sounds like a loose jam with just the right lyrics holding it together. The boys love their harmonies, and have become quite skilled at the art of weaving studio tight tracks into their looser live sets. Expect to hear a lot more from the band in 2025.
Lup Ino – Control Z [Spa In Disco]
Fiori Lupion, akaLup Ino‘s “Control Z” is a sexy slide into the night jam, with a slow, controlled groove and boogie vibes. This Italian producer is famous for his reworks of classic soul, disco and boogie tracks, so his aesthetic is very much influenced by those legendary 70s and 80s tracks. Put this jam on when it’s time to get close to someone!
Audiowhores – Mine feat. Nikara [Midnight Riot!]
Audiowhore‘s “Mine” is a solid boogie track that sounds as welcome on today’s dancefloor as it would have in 1984. Nikara’s vocal is clean and warm, the music is easy and breezy, making it perfect for any season. The Manchester-based production duo Graham Lord and Adam Unsworth keep getting stronger with every release. Check this one out on Midnight Riot!
