Recently, Spotify revealed that artists will now be able to receive credit when one their remixes has been streamed. This will increase the number listeners that the artists receive. Although this is great news, unfortunately, it will only take into account remixes that were released at the beginning 2015. Remixes will also be able to ficially appear in the popular charts and the latest release section on the artist's priles (a feature that first began last October.) Lastly, artists will now be able to see the insights for their remixes, allowing them to see how many times fans listen to them.
It seems like it was a long time coming for this to ficially happen. Artists will now receive the proper credit where credit is due. You can check out the ficial announcement here
