In lieu Hasbro’s new “Monopoly: Cheater’s Edition” board game hitting shelves yesterday, one crafty wook took his talents to Etsy to release a spin-f version the classic game capitalism. Only this version, titled “Wookery,” uses heady trades for capital instead fake paper money.
The game works similar to the rules Monopoly, only instead “Community Chest” and “Chance” cards, players pull from “Heady” cards and “Wonky” cards. Heady cards contain random funny things, like “went to Colorado to grow weed but ended up working at taco bell instead, move back 5 spaces,” while the goal is to pass start and collect Wonky cards, which are tongue twisters you have to say correctly, or else “slap the bag.”
Of course, it wouldn’t be a game Wookery if wooks everywhere didn’t spend their entire allowances — or at least part their trust funds — on the home made board game. Currently, everyone’s favorite game Wookery is but you might check back periodically to see if the game is back in stock. Or you might consider saving yourself the $35 + shipping/handling by making one your own.
