From July 10th to July 13th, the sustainable boutique music festival, Bass Coast, will be making a triumphant return to Merritt, in British Columbia, Canada. Upon releasing tickets, the Bass Coast 2020 team decided to place a special freeze on sales, which will cap the event’s capacity to 6,500 guests to maintain the festival’s intimate vibe.

Co-Founder Angela Graham says the capacity freeze will ensure an exceptional experience for everyone who works and attends the festival.

“We’ve decided to freeze capacity for 2020 so that we can focus on the attention to detail that makes Bass Coast truly unique: nurturing the community, exceptional stage environments, improving our environmental footprint, and curating world class music and art,” said Graham.

The Marketing Director, Robbie Slade adds, “Bass Coast started as a response to mainstream festivals. We’ve always been focused on providing the maximum value for cost and capping attendance allows us to focus our energy on getting better, not bigger.”

This freeze shows the true integrity of the Bass Coast Founders, Andrea Graham and Liz Thompson, who clearly are not just in it for the money.

Like in the past, the festival touts its status as an “artist owned and operated” venture boasting 145 artists, multiple immersive environments, an array of creative workshops and over fifty art installations. Taking place adjacent to the Coldwater River nestled in the Nicola Valley, the scenic locale is bound to highlight both Canadian and international acts scheduled to play.
