Weezer have announced a new concert film to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their debut record, ‘The Blue Album’.

In 1994, Weezer made a splash with their self-titled debut album, dubbed ‘The Blue Album’. The band have recently been touring in support of the anniversary, and have recorded a concert film at one of their recent concerts.

Rivers Cuomo and co. announced the film – titled Weezer’s Voyage to the Blue Planet: The Concert Film – via social media yesterday (September 26), confirming that it will be livestreamed at Moment.co on October 13 and 14.

Early bird tickets are on sale now.

Early bird tickets are being priced at USD$13 from now through 12pm Pacific Time on September 27 before prices are raised to $16. Tickets purchased on the day of the streams will cost $18. All tickets include a replay of the concert film that will be available for 24 hours.

The concert film’s announcement comes after Weezer earlier this month announced the 30th anniversary reissue of ‘The Blue Album’, which includes 36 unreleased tracks. The Super Deluxe Edition of the record will be “the most comprehensive vision of ‘The Blue Album’ ever created, and will consist of four 12-inch LPs, one 10-inch and a 7-inch.

It is also set to contain 36 previously unreleased tracks, with a number of “early practises”, live recordings, “Kitchen Tape Demos” and BBC radio recordings. Pre-orders are now available.
