The Swedish innovative DJ and producer Eric Prydz just unveiled the first part of his three-part documentary. Eric Prydz presents Holosphere 2.0, navigating the backstory to one of his most technologically advanced and innovative shows to date.

Now, Prydz takes us behind the scenes of his newest show. The Holosphere 2.0 show is taking place at [UNVRS] Ibiza, the newest hyperclub. Moreover, part 1 has a strong emphasis on the creation of the first Holosphere shows and the people behind it.
Now available on YouTube, the video introduces us to PRG Projects and its CEO. As CEO, Frederic Opsomer paints a small picture of the history of the company, growing at the same pace as technology kept advancing. The company is responsible for major visual effects and creations, such as all of U2’s touring visuals since the 90s.
Prydz then acknowledges the five years of experience they have had since the last Holosphere, allowing the artist and his team to prepare further towards the newest show. The 8-tonne, 8-meter structure consists of thousands of custom pieces that have been designed and redesigned over the years. Furthermore, the layout implements multiple layers of never-before-seen LED transparent screens that achieve holographic effects.
Now at [UNVRS] Ibiza, the Holosphere 2.0 show is running every Monday from June 2nd to September 1st.
