If you live for EDM energy, summer vibes, and world-class festival experiences, there’s exciting news lighting up Southern California’s music scene. Santa Monica has just announced an annual music festival that’s set to debut in fall 2026 — and it’s being produced by none other than Goldenvoice, the powerhouse behind Coachella.
What’s Happening in Santa Monica?
As part of a broader plan to elevate the city ahead of major global events like the 2026 FIFA World Cup and the 2028 Summer Olympics, Santa Monica officials have green-lit a new large-scale beachfront music festival adjacent to the Santa Monica Pier. This event aims to attract music lovers, beachgoers, and visitors from across the world with a vibrant mix of live performances, art, food, and culture.
The inaugural festival is expected to:
- Feature 12–15 musical artists across diverse genres — including EDM stars that will make dance music fans sit up and take notice
- Host around 30,000 to 35,000 attendees on the sand and boardwalk
- Include curated food, drinks, art installations, interactive experiences, and festival merch
- Become an annual tradition with future editions planned for 2027 and 2028
While the full lineup is still TBA, the fact that Goldenvoice is producing the event is huge for electronic music lovers. This company has serious festival cred — they’re the same organization that puts on the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival every spring in Indio, California.
Coachella is renowned for its diverse and forward-thinking lineups, which feature top-tier EDM acts, underground DJs, crossover electronic artists, and cutting-edge live performances. From house to techno, trap to trance, Coachella consistently delivers electric sets that define the sound of the moment — and Goldenvoice knows how to curate artists that get the crowd moving.
Who Is Goldenvoice?
Established in the early 1980s by Gary Tovar, is a Los Angeles-based live events and promotion company. Initially a punk rock promoter, the company expanded to become a leading alternative promoter in Southern California. Goldenvoice is known for organizing the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival and Stagecoach: California’s Country Music Festival, as well as managing music venues in Los Angeles and the Bay Area. AEG acquired Goldenvoice in 2001.
Over the years, Goldenvoice has also produced other major festivals — including Stagecoach, Portola (an electronic-focused festival in San Francisco), and collaborations with music brands that appeal to broad audiences across genres.

🎟️ Stay tuned for official lineup announcements, ticket drop dates, and set schedules as they’re released. If Goldenvoice’s track record is any guide, this new Santa Monica festival could become one of the next big highlights in the world of live electronic music.
