Four of the fifteen tracks from the stacked fifth edition of Fabric Selects figure prominently here but the absolute star of the show is Joeski’s newest on Crosstown Rebels, which features Troy Dillard on vocals. Not only is it the best of the month, it might just be the track of the year. The impassioned vocals bring back memories of the golden years of house music. On Friday, Pete Tong said that it reminded him of the late ’80s. Perhaps, Joe Smooth’s “Promised Land” is what he had in mind.
