Here we go again — Swedish House Mafia
‘s Instagram has been cleared of all of its photos, so don’t pack away your black deep v-necks just yet. The last time the trio’s social media presence logged this type of activity was just ahead of their reunion at Ultra Music Festival in Miami after a five year hiatus. The updates from the group’s dormant profiles were quickly noticed by fans and abruptly batted down as routine cleaning by manager Amy Thompson, though as the not-so-secret reunion inched closer, it was obvious that the social media audit signaled the beginning of the Mafia’s return.Swedish House Mafia’s Facebook and Twitter pages remain intact for now, however the group’s freshly wiped Instagram, including all of the images from their historic assembly in March, has the rumor mill buzzing all over again. Are Axwell, Ingrosso, and Steve Angello ready to pick up the Swedish House Mafia banner once more? Steve Angello is hot off the release of his long-awaited solo opus Human, with two additional versions of the album expected to drip out over the summer and fall. In conjunction with the album however, Angello is also offering a lifetime pass to get into any of his solo performance across the world. Perhaps the specification of “solo” points to potentially collaborative shows in the future? Beyond that, fans have identified two new, yet-to-be-named tracks from the group’s performance at Ultra, and with cryptic hints from Tomorrowland at another appearance from the trio, we may be looking at full reunion run in the making.
