Sunset Music Festival is a two day festival that takes place annually over Memorial Day Weekend. A few headliners for this year included Rezz, Marshmello, Excision and 3LAU.

Tampa is accustomed to rain, so attendees weren’t going to let the rain on day one slow them down. However, the plans for day two have taken a turn for the worst. Heavy rains and high winds are to blame for SMF Day 2 being cancelled. This decision was completely out of SMF’s hands. Tampa Sports Authority with the Tampa police departments and Tampa fire rescue came to the decision to cancel day 2 of the festival. In addition, a tropical storm warning has just been issued for the Tampa area.

Detailed refund policy information and refund information will be posted here soon.

Dear SMF Community, Due to forecasted heavy rains and high winds associated with Tropical Storm Alberto, we are sad to announce the second day of Sunset Music Festival 2018 (Sunday, May 27, 2018) has been cancelled. This decision to cancel was made by the Tampa Sports Authority, in conjunction with the Tampa Police Department and Tampa Fire Rescue, and was based on the fact Sunday’s weather poses a serious risk to the health, safety and welfare of Sunset Music Festival attendees. Additionally, a Tropical Storm Warning has been issued for the Tampa area and Florida’s Governor Scott has declared a State of Emergency. The safety of our attendees, staff, artists, partners and community is always our number one priority. SMF will release detailed instructions on the refund policy and process as soon as possible at SMFtampa.com. We are truly saddened by this decision, however, your safety is our number one priority. We hope to see you next year for SMF 2019. The SMF Team
