Shane Madden, the creative force behind the celebrated world bass act Govinda, has enjoyed a remarkable 27 year career. He was actually recognized for pioneering a unique sound that seamlessly merged gypsy violin with electronica that brought him to festivals such as Coachella, SXSW, Shambhala and plenty others.
He recently unveiled his latest project, Spherical, which sees Madden diving into the subtler and more introspective realms of deep house.
His latest offering is a fresh remake of Kool & The Gang’s iconic hit, “Get Down On It,” flipping the classic track into an entirely new listening experience with original vocals and instrumentation.
“I have always wanted to remake this song for some reason. It’s such a timeless idea that can take many forms,” Madden explains, reflecting on his motivation for this song. The new rendition infuses lush rhythms and smooth, organic house elements, showcasing Madden’s distinctive ability to create the perfect sounds that draw listeners into his world. The result is a captivating homage with a wholly original listening experience.
