Shania Twain has taken over the Pyramid stage at this year’s edition Glastonbury Festival and social media has been reacting to her performance.

The country icon performed the coveted legend’s slot at the annual music bash at Worthy Farm. Previously sharing that she wanted to “borrow” a horse for her performance, Twain arrived with a group of drag queens all holding up toy horses.

There was a massive turnout for her set. Hundreds of thousands made their way to the Pyramid stage to see her play. She opened with her 1997 hit ‘That Don’t Impress Me Much’.

Upon singing the first lines of the track, fans and viewers took to X/Twitter to express their concern over Twain’s singing. “Watching Shania Twain delivering a mediocre performance of That Don’t Impress Me Much at Glastonbury and trying to think of a witty way to tweet my feelings about it,” wrote one user, while another shared: “What the fuck is going on with the sound during Shania Twain’s Glastonbury set?”.

In other Glastonbury news, Paloma Faith paid tribute to Amy Winehouse with a cover ‘Back To Black’ during her performance at the Pyramid stage. Elsewhere, fans have been sharing their love for Gossip following their eruptive set at Glastonbury – which saw them call out the US government.

Still set to come this weekend at Glastonbury 2024 are performances from SZA, Janelle Monae, The National, Two Door Cinema Club, Avril Lavigne, Justice, Nia Archives, James Blake, Alvvays, Romy and more.

Coldplay‘s electric headlining set on Saturday scored them a four-star review. Little Simz‘s Pyramid performance marked her bid as a future headliner, while Camila Cabello turned in a chaotic performance.
