Rommii has made quite the name for himself in the stutter house genre, racking up over 10M+ streams across DSPs, and festival performances at EDC Las Vegas, Ubbi Dubbi, Lost In Dreams. He’s brought a revitalizing sound to dance music, one that’s earned him a global fanbase and a eager anticipation as to what to expect next.
He recently teamed up with hit singer/songwriter Dev, known for massive hits with The Cataracts such as “Fly Like A G6” and “Bass Down Low”. Together, they prove to be a exceptional team, as Dev’s ethereal vocals sit perfectly over a lush, euphoric arrangement that has the feeling of yet another hit.
Speaking to the composition, Rommii shares “I layered the low ent with bright, plucky saw wave synth and added some chorus and reverb to make it sparkle and blend seamlessly with the track. Finally, I meshed it with Dev’s vocals to create a unique blend of all the sounds.”
He adds, “If you’re diving into emotional house, Serum is a fantastic tool for creating those lush, textured sounds. One trick I’ve learned is to experiment with subtle distortion and chorus effects to add character and space without overwhelming the mix.“
Touching on the meaning behind the song, Rommii adds “falling in love on the dance floor is a high we all crave. This song captures that feeling of letting go and following someone into the middle of the dance floor.”
