According to a new , hip-hop lyrics have significantly influenced some adults into trying MDMA, also known as “Molly,” for the first time. The link has been talked about for decades, but finally has some applicable research to back the claims.

High prile rappers like Kanye West, Rick Ross, Lil Wayne and Jay-Z are mentioned in the study. In fact, French Montana even has a song titled “Molly.” It’s not mentioned in the report specifically, but Tyga has his own track named “Molly” as well.

So, are rap artists glorifying the substance?

Let’s take it back to the first party / When you tried your first molly – Kanye West, “Blood On The Leaves”

Something ’bout Mary, she gone f that molly / Now the whole party is melting like Dali – Kanye West, “Mercy”

Put molly all in her champagne/ She ain’t even know it – Rick Ross, featured on “U.O.E.N.O”

Those are just a few random examples…
