Loaded with energy and glowing production, ‘Dye Your Hair' is the latest triumph from New Yorker rebelyay. With an album pencilled in for April, the producer is clearly making a big mark. rebelyay is open with his narrative in ‘Dye Your Hair', attesting that the worst of drug abuse is how it strips away at who you are as a person.
Discussing the single rebelyay says, “‘Dye Your Hair’ is about a time where I felt extremely alone with myself and my thoughts. I felt like I was transforming into someone that I hated and I couldn’t stop it from happening; my self-hatred was at an all-time high.” Moreover, the artist began to project his anger onto everyone and everything around him. It leaves us to question who exactly is “the enemy” referred to on the track – those around him, or himself?
Inspired by the likes of Igloohost and A.G. Cook, rebelyay has conquered his demons and has proved his worth again. Take a listen today!
