Detroit house legend, Alton Miller is still keeping on. He’s got a five track outing scheduled for release next month on Berlin’s Mister Bear Records and it stays true to the essence of deep house that’s been coming out of the motor city for the past thirty years or so. It’s called the Reflections Within EP and it stands up with some of his finest accomplishments like his 1996 Urban Farmers collaboration on 20:20 Vision. Much more refined though and tuned into a sleek vibe that’s been synonymous with the Detroit sound in the 21st century.

More specifically, I’m talking about “Around The Corner” which we’re happy to premiere for you today. It’s nearly seven minutes long and sans vocals just the way you and me like it. Deep, minor chords with a mid-tempo rhythm. Say less. Put me on a beach in the Mediterranean with a cocktail in hand while this one is spinning and I’m a happy man.
