‘FIGURE BESIDE ME', the new two-track EP from object blue, is out today, August 16.

The release on Shimmering Frequencies is described as object blue’s “most personal body of work to date”, inspired by love and Courtney S. Danforth’s essay on ‘Philosophical Ecstasy’.

She said:“I usually don’t write about feelings or experiences; my music is not a vehicle for ideas and language; music is an art form that stands on its own. I put sounds there for the sake of sound, not what they mean. I’m perfectly fine with listeners feeling their own emotions or adding their narratives to my music, but that has never been my goal. Music and sound for me is a physical experience that you feel and enjoy. figure beside me is the exception to the rule. After this EP I’ll go back to serving the dancefloor again - I just need to get this one out of me.”

Alongside the digital release, physical copies accompanied by a USB and booklet designed by visual artist, and object blue’s wife, Natalia Podgórska will be available as a limited edition run.

You can also catch object blue perform a one-off live show on August 28 as part of Red Bull Music Festival at Saint James Hatcham Church alongside LOFT.
