DJ-producer hybrid Malóne has been on an absolute tear so far this year. Landing a major residency spot at Club Space, the pinnacle of Miami’s nightlife scene, he also launched his fast-growing label and event series WHYNOTUS and dropped multiple underground house hits over the last few months.
In addition to his consistent stream of groovy productions, Malóne has been killing the game on the live performance front. He played multiple sets at EDC Las Vegas, including an energetic performance during Club Space’s stage takeover at the Neon Garden. Speaking of Club Space, he also played extended sets throughout the club’s final weeks, alongside artists such as Vintage Culture and Solomun.
Now, Malóne is turning up the heat with his brand-new single “Beef,” a spicy collab with fellow Miami-based artist Jesse Bravo. Out now on Jesse’s label Used Goods, this heater wastes no time delivering a unique fusion of rap and underground tech house. Packed with vocal loops and crisp percussion, this anthem has an irresistible swagger to it.
One of Malóne’s most requested IDs since he started playing it out, the track comes at a perfect time, following up the hype from WHYNOTUS’s second sold-out takeover of Miami’s Jolene Sound Room. The show on Saturday featured rising house artists Sounds Of Rituals, Damelo, Des & Del, and of course an electrifying headlining set from Malóne.
As he gears up for more touring and releases throughout summer, Malóne will be performing at Taraka with Gordo in San Jose, London’s BEAT, in Greece with BLOND:ISH, Hï Ibiza as direct support for the Martinez Bros, and Spain’s Weekend Beach Festival, all within the next couple of weeks. Bringing his signature blend of Afro and tech house wherever he goes, there is no slowing down Malóne’s ascension towards the top of the electronic music circuit.
