The BBC’s Sound Of 2019 longlist has been revealed.
Six of the 10 nominees listed are feminine, with r'n'b artists Mahalia (pictured) and Ella Mai each included. Grime MC Flohio and Spanish singer Rosalía are additionally included.
Also on the record are Slowthai and Drake-approved London MC Octan. London four-piece Sea Girls are the one band to characteristic.
The winner of BBC Sound of 2019, voted for by 136 critics, broadcasters and former winners, will probably be introduced on January 11. Previous winners embrace Adele, Sigrid and Ray BLK.
