Tomorrowland has brought so much entertainment and joy to the world as an iconic music festival. Now, it’s giving back to the people in a whole new way by launching its very own school — Love Tomorrow Music & Arts.
Nestled in the heart of Himalaya (Sekha, Nepal), the very first Tomorrowland-backed school has officially opened its doors. Together with 300 local children, Love Tomorrow Ambassador Lost Frequencies helped launch the movement. This festival is truly changing the game.
At Love Tomorrow Music & Arts, teachers offer lessons in music, dance, art and theatre. So no matter what any given student’s creative outlet of choice, they can express themselves. The location is perfect, as dance and arts are integral to Nepalese culture and play an important role in daily life. Really, this is an extension of the area’s heart and soul.
Cunina, a highly respected Belgian independent development organization, also helped to realize this project. Just like the Love Tomorrow Foundation — Cunina is whole-heartedly convinced that education is the key to a better future. And what better way than to learn through art?!
Lost Frequencies couldn’t be more excited to be involved with the launch:
I first came into contact with the Love Tomorrow Foundation and their plans to build a music school in Nepal at Tomorrowland 2016. I was instantly enthusiastic about the project. That’s why I was very happy that they asked me to travel to Nepal with them to officially open the school on behalf of Tomorrowland and all People of Tomorrow.
My personal story aligns perfectly with this project. At home, I was given every opportunity and that included time and space for creativity. I chose to express this in making music and learning to play instruments. Without those opportunities, I would never have become a musician/dj. That’s why I think it’s fantastic that the children here in Sekha can now have that opportunity as well!
